FLAGG OFF ACCESS TO CARE UNDER BHCPF AND TWO DAY CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP FOR HEALTH CARE SERVICE PROVIDERS

Sokoto State Contributory Health Care Management agency SOCHEMA in Collaboration with USAID Integrated Health Program IHP organized a two day training workshops for health care services providers and ward development committee WDCs on getting access to BHCPF programs.
Before the commencement of the training the Honorable Special Adviser to H.E on SOCHEMA Dr Amamatu Yusuf officially Flagg off the Program with accredited facilities who have already received the capitation (funds) for the implementation of the program.
During her remarks, Dr Amamatu thanked all the relevant stakeholders who helps in one way or the other for reaching this journey. Mean while she charged the benefited health facilities to work hard and maintain professionalism in discharging their responsibilities. She also caution them in mismanagement of these funds where she read some sanctions attached to that act.
The main objectives of the training are; The improvement knowledge of service providers on BHCPF guidelines, Acquaint participants on the accounting procedures for proper documentation and reporting, Increase participants understanding on the right of enrollees and requirements to enroll in BHCPF, To educate participants on Basic Minimum packages under BHCPF program and Finally to clear all the misconceptions surrounding BHCPF funds.
Earlier, there was several goodwill messages from NHIS Sokoto State, SSPHCDA, USAID IHP among other relevant stakeholders. Presentations with regard to workshop objectives was conducted from SOCHEMA Directors, USAID IHP Finance advisor Malam Mainasara Bello, among others.
