The objectives of the meeting is to provide enabling environment for NHIS to engage 36 States Contributory Agencies, Nigerian Governors Forum Secretariat and other critical stakeholders on progresses and challenges of Nigerian drive towards Universal Health Coverage.

Also, the meeting is providing a means of constructive feedback and inclusive engagement between NHIS and State Contributory Agencies including national stakeholders on various issues that will support Nigeria’s commitment to achieve Universal Health Coverage through continuous enrollment of citizens into various contributory schemes across the country.

The meeting is also discussing progress on Basic Healthcare Provision Fund implementation with strong emphasis on prudent and compliant fund utilization and accountability as the most significant step towards schemes sustainability.

The meeting attended by Director ICT Murtala Nuhu, draw participants from NHIS, 36 states contributory agencies and FCT, NGF secretariat, WHO, CSOs among others.
