Sokoto State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (SOCHEMA) has initiated a Community-Based Contributory Health Insurance Scheme to extend healthcare coverage to individuals in the informal sector, including traders, farmers, artisans, and other self-employed persons. This initiative is part of the state's broader efforts to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and reduce out-of-pocket healthcare expenses.
TISHIP
Sokoto State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency participates in Nigeria’s national Tertiary Institutions Social Health Insurance Programme (TISHIP), which is designed to provide affordable and quality healthcare services to students in tertiary institutions, including universities, polytechnics,colleges of health, and colleges of education.
